While attempting to rescue Counselor Troi and a pilot in a shuttle on the planet Vagra II, Tasha Yar is killed by an entity known as Armus, as a demonstration of his power.

- This marks Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar)'s final regular appearance on the show however Denise Crosby is still credited for her role for the remainder of the first season.
- This episode marks the final Season 1 appearance of Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher).
